Ideapad 500s connected to a 4k monitor. HDMI 2.0?

Hello,

I am weighing up my options between purchasing an Ideapad 500s or a Thinkpad L460. I do a bit of video editing, and when I'm doing that kind of work I want to hook the laptop up to a 4k screen, (the extra pixels allow a much more efficient workflow).

To connect to a 4k monitor at 60Hz I have read that I need a DisplayPort output (which I note that the 500s does not have), or an HDMI 2.0. I suspect that the Ideapad 500s does not have an HDMI 2.0 output, but I would be happy to be contradicted. Could someone please confirm this one way or ther other? Preferably if you could point me to some official documentation about the product which answers the question that would be great!

If it does have an HDMI 2.0, I wonder if anyone has any idea how the nVidia chip would handle the 4k screen. I wouldn't be gaming or even doing and 3d modelling or rendering - just some HD video editing - so I expect it would be fine?

Many thanks,

Tom
