Hello! I spilled cider all over the keyboard on my Ideapad 500s, and now the trackpad doesn't work at all. After the spill I switched it off almost immediately, and tried to turn it on in about half an hour. Everything seems fine apart from the trackpad. Also, during the night the computer started making very loud beeping noises while switched off. I think it was three beeps and a pause. The power button lit up as well. I switched the computer on and there were no changed - everything works apart from the trackpad. Is it posdible to fix it somehow and what should I do?

Hi there, Asvalt -
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today
No, neither the trackpad nor the rest of the computer are waterproof. The drain holes drain water out but once it's in there, it can do damage despite this. Lenovo won't honor the warranty if there's even the slightest evidence of water spills.
However, you can also start by flushing out all static, remove battery and AC adaptor and hold down power button for about 20 seconds.
I would recommend contacting Lenovo service centres and applying the normal phone techniques to get it replaced promptly.
