Hello , i would like to upgrade my 4GB DDR4 to 8GB , i have read the guide book and it says i should use "2133 MHz" ram but when i checked the ram that's used on my slot it was "4 GB 1RX16 PC4-2400T-SCO-11" so should i buy an 2400mhz or 2133? however my laptop is working fine with this 2400 and here is a photo of cpu-z, and can i add 16 GB of memory? or the max is 12GB of total? thanks in advance

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Product specification shows :
12GB max / PC4-17000 2133MHz DDR4, 4GB memory soldered to systemboard, one 260-pin SO-DIMM socket.
OEM advise having 8GB for an upgrade on the available single slot as indicated with the manual here ( SODIMM × 1, on board × 1 (max 8 GB)). You can get the same 2400 MHz as it does say the same 2400 compatible RAM here on the parts lookup page.
Hope this helps answer your query.

Yes, you can add 8GB 2400 mhz DDR4 ram on your Ideapad 510-15IKB without any problem.
OEM recommended ram for model type 80SV here (click memory on commodity type for filtering).
Third party ram should also work with the specification but do review its return options just in case.

i have samsung ram in my device and i want to upgrade to 12GB.
I want a samsung module.
I've found two modules what looks nice:

What module is better? Is it compatible?
Thanks in advance
