Ideapad 700 15ISK SSD question

Hi,

I am looking to buy an SSD for my Ideapad 700 15ISK and I am not sure if the model I am looking at is supported. I am asking about the INTEL 600p 128GB, M.2 2280, SSDPEKKW128G7X1 PCI-e x4. I would also like to knoe if both M.2 PCI-e and M.2 SATA are supported.

Thank you,

Cmihai

Re: Ideapad 700 15ISK SSD question

Hi CMihai ,

Greetings.

Similar to discussed here,  1050 SSD Card(On select models) page 40 of the hardware manual :

Offered SSD on such selected model have (page 68) , PCI Express Gen3 x4  common to systemboard part number 5B20K91444 5B20K91447 from the product specifications list.

Part number 5SD0J46480 SSD,128GB PM951 M.2 PCIE,Samsung MZVLV128HCGR 128GB M.2 PCIE SSD

Part number 5SD0J46479 SSD,256GB PM951 M.2 PCIE,Samsung MZVLV256HCHP 256GB M.2 PCIE SSD

Ideally, it would be best if you had it tested first with a local service center for availability of the slot electrically maybe perhaps a spare before any purchase to be on the safe side even if most modern systemboard supports both either SATA or PCI-E mode depending on the model.

Hope this help answer your query.

Regards
