Could you let us know how to update the bios and if this is risky for our files and machines operation?

Re: Ideapad 700-15ISK false low battery warnings

Welcome to the Lenovo Community Apopetro !

Since this start of this thread Lenovo has released a newer BIOS version for your laptop.  The latest version will contain all the fixes and improvements that were made available in version E5CN60WW.

Here is the latest BIOS E5CN61WW version......

https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/LAPTOPS-AND-NETBOOKS/700-SERIES/700-15ISK/downloads/DS11...

The README file that accompanies the BIOS upgrade will contain instructions on how to update the BIOS.  Here is a link to that README.........

https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles/e5cn61ww.txt

Any time you upgrade the BIOS there is a slight risk. You can lessen that risk by closing out all unneed Windows applications before you execute the BIOS update.  Also make sure your battery has a good charge and that the charger / adapter is plugged in.  As the BIOS upgrade is being performed leave the laptop alone.  Don't touch it, don't interrupt it and don't power off the laptop.
