I tested anker 60w type-c charger, it doesn't work with Ideapad S740. I know P1 Gen2 does support thunderbolt 3 charging, maybe Lenovo block this function in S740? Maybe? Also, I found someone online says S740 doesn't support thunderbolt 3 charging. If the charging function is blocked, is there anyway to unlock it?

The port has to support it, but it apparently doesn't. Otherwise it would be mentioned in the Product Specification Reference, and it isn't listed there. Thunderbolt doesn't automatically mean Power Delivery, either.

Has this been resolved. I have a Ideapad S740 for the same issue. I bought the Lenovo Branded PowerBank, and had the same issue, it won't charge from the dedicated port on the left or the Thunderbolt ports. Does anyone know why?

I see what you have posted and read through them. My challenge is that I still can not find a charger that works. My wife has a Lenovo 65Watt USB C Charger that I tired on my S740, ( Both C ports ) and nothing. I am unsure what I am missing on this, as to why I can't get this laptop to charge on any of the ports on the right side of it.
I am wondering if there is a firmware issue that is unknown, or not enough people are trying to charge it outside of the stanard power adapter that it comes with.
Hoping someone can figure this out!
