Hi sgizmo,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
Checking on Machine Type Model: 81BF0075PB , Motherboard part number: 5B20Q15602 MB L81BF I58250U N17SG1_4G D4G FP NOK . It do not show the M.2 slot and the HDD can just be replaced by an SSD instead.
We are hoping the motherboard would be like the other Ideapad 520 variant like this:
Memory :DDR4-2133 MHz,SODIMM × 1, On Board × 1 (max 16 GB)
It has a soldered onboard ram with 4GB and available slot for upgrades.
Hope this helps answer your query.
Regards

Hi sgizmo,
What I was able to get is the image of the board with the part number.
It would rather be best if you physically check it yourself using the image above as a reference.
This way you can verify and if you need to call in tech support or the store you have purchased it.
Others try replacing the hdd with a SATA SSD and replace the optical drive with the hdd instead.

Hi sgizmo,
Greetings.
There are similar software detection tool that would get information based on chipsets and processor it supports but checking on the actual hardwares may show differently based on the build.
Since it would still end up as a hardware upgrade plan, much as well check it yourself if the option is physically available.

Hey sgizmo, did you check whether this thing has a M.2 slot and if yes, then whether it is SATA or PCIe?
