Good evening Lenovo users,
i would like any help if it possible and thanks in advance.
I have a lenovo ideapad 510-15isk with serial number PFOKFODM.
I would like to upgrade my laptop with extra memory ram.
My laptop has a ram which is on board and runs on 2133.
But i want to upgrade my ram with a ram which has higher speed than 2133.
I have talked with contact center of lenovo and they havent give me any clear info.
They said me to check the documentation in support.lenovo page. The documentation refers how the maximum speed is 2400. But if i search in a memory manufacturer (for example crucial ) says how my laptop can support and a ram in 2600.
And my basic question is if i buy any ram in 2600 will be recognizable from my machine and the speed will be satisfactory or not???
i am very confused and i dont know wht to do. Every info would be useful.

Welcome to Lenovo Community!
If your system RAM is embedded with 2133 and system have additional slot to upgrade then it's always recommended to use same frequency RAM, If embedded RAM frequency is 2133 and you will upgrade seconder RAM with another frequency then you will not get full performance for RAM also some time system will get auto restart.
I hope the above information helps.
