I have purchased a Lenovo IdeaPad 330s 15ARR notebook and unfortunally today I upgraded the BIOS from version 7WCN22WW to the latest version 7WCN27WW.
After the upgrade, entering bios setup, I recive the following message (figure_1):
Failed to load storage: OilSetup. Status: Device Error.
I tried to flash the previous firmare version but it fails do to the fact that "Bios back flash" is "disabled" and when i try to enable it and save the bios configuration it give me the following message:
Failed to save storage: OilSetup. Status: Buffer Too Small.
Now I can no longer change the bios configuration and I can no longer flash a previous bios version.
Is there a way to fix the problem o must I only wait for a newer bios version?
Thanks a lot

This issue can be solved with a clear CMOS. SO you have to open the rear panel and unplug the CMOS battery for a minute, but i don't know if this will void the warranty.
Moreover, the issue can be prevented by flashing the BIOS through CMD with the "-cvar" variable like described here: https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-P-and-W-Series-Mobile/BIOS-settings-could-not-be-saved-on-W530...
That said, dear Lenovo, we need more attention to this laptop and its BIOS settings. Thermal throttling at 50°C and 50% load is ridicolous, we really need to extend the cTDP next to the 25W target and unlock voltage management options, since Ryzen mobile processors are not yet supported by AMD Ryzen Master utility, so we can't lower the voltage to improve the temperatures. We're simply not getting what we paid for.
And please, release an up-to-date graphics driver, since the latest from may 28 is full of bugs and lead to a grey screen of death with some games and after a complete discharge of the battery. Thanks.
