Re: Laptop License key not exsisting

Forgot to add something, my uncle came over and saw that, and he downloaded an app called WASRemover, it removed the windows activation service so i don't get that popup once again, but i would like to know how to reinstall it since i do need it to enter a windows license key,

Thank you.

Re: Laptop License key not exsisting

Hi ilovechicken123,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

In addition, checking the board PN 5B20N04872 (MB C 80UD NOK I3-6006U UMA 4G).

NOK is no key preinstalled with the machine.

It is to either purchase or your previous Win 7 product key retail version is required to activate it legally. Upgrading to Win10 would also ask you to purchase same product key from Microsoft.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Regards

Re: Laptop License key not exsisting

If the goal is to update the computer to Windows 10, then you should be able to just download the Win 10 installation tool and buy a new license from Microsoft. Your Win 7 key won't work with WIn 10.  There was a time when it was a free upgrade, but that's long since passed IIRC.

Re: Laptop License key not exsisting

Hi ilovechicken123,

Greetings.

I suggest you backup your files first before any other steps.

Take a time to review how Windows 10 is with just 4GB RAM with other post or reviews so you can decide if it is worth to continue the upgrade.

You can proceed with downloading KB971033, to help repair activation folder thus should allow Win7 activation. Else clean installation of Windows 7 and activation should be the option to consider next.

This machine do not have any embedded OEM key so you may either install Win 7 or Win10 with a product key.

Regards
