Windows update failed and has corrupted my windows 10 installation. Windows tries "Preparing Automatic Repair" and after "Diagnosing your PC" it is unable to repair the windows installation, and therefore unable to boot.
I was able to use the NOVO button to access the "NOVO Button Menu" (Options are Normal Startup, BIOS Setup, Boot Menu, and System Recovery). I select "System Recovery" and the unit stalls for a second and then restarts and goes back to the "Preparing Automatic Repair" screen.
I've also tried going into the windows based "Reset your computer" utility in the advanced repair options and this fails.
How do I get out of this Do-loop? While I'd prefer not to erase my data, there isn't much on the computer (SSD is only 32 GB anyway).
What can I do to restore to factory defaults? Why is the System Recovery through NOVO not working?
