Lenovo 500s-14ISK 80Q3 screen cover broke off the hinges after couple of moth of normal use.
What's the best way to get it sorted? Warranty, epoxy or drill the cover and bolt through the hinges?

Hi there, V_Urban -
Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.
Having it tested on a computer repair shop can help as they would have necessary tools to test the machine with specially Hence, i would recommend contacting Lenovo service centres and applying the normal phone techniques to get it replaced promptly or assist you further.

Support chat and phone line turned out to be useless, it was implied that warranty will most likely be rejected since it's mechanical failure.
I've supeperglued it together and it's holding better than new for now.
Please let me know if this issue has been addressed and I can get replacement cover which won't fail after couple of weeks of light use.

I have this same issue after 5 month of usage, and it happen all 3 of this same model 500S-14ISK 80Q3.
It really carp, all they say was that it wasn't under warranty. Crap, if it happen to only 1 laptop I own it, but it happen to all 3 laptop used by 3 different user...

It seems that there are issues with that model. I had a similar problem: the plastic back case is broken. It wasn't dropped, it just cracked one day after 6 months of use and the crack keeps getting bigger. Lenovo Greece insists that the warranty doesn't cover the cost of repair. This is unacceptable, I am not satisfied either with the quality or the aftersales service. They want me to pay 130€, nearly 1/3 of the price of the laptop. I would think twice before buying another product from Lenovo. I look forward to your prompt reply.
