Up until yesterday, everything was fine, the touchpad was working fine. Today I started the laptop and it does not work.
I tried to reinstall synaptic drivers from product's page and nothing changed. There are no devices under the mice and other pointing devices in device manager. I can use the laptop only with an external USB mouse.
My OS is Windows 10 Pro x64.
What can it be?

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

Did you unintentionally switch off the touchpad using the hot key? This actually happened to someone else who posted on this web site.
The F6 key enables or disables the touchpad. If you have changed the BIOS to disable hot keys, you need to press the combination FN+F6 to enable or disable the touchpad.

Thank you for the answers!
After several restarts, about 8 - 10, it magically started to work. Now it is shown under the mice and other pointing devices in device manager and synaptics software starts as usual. I did not have the chance to test the possible solution provided by Krakken, but I also think it could be related to static on the motherboard and these restarts perhaps released it since I did not make any changes.
Pressing the F6 key with and without FN was the first thing I tried. It did not help.
