My laptop will not charge. Well, the charging indicator flickers, and when I try to charge it and get it working, the percentage will stay at the percentage it was when it started charging.
I had it plugged in two nights ago, while using it, and I heard a pop and saw the charger move in the outlet. That's when the problem occurred. I can't even use it, which is a problem because I'm in a high school where one to one is a thing. My warranty is expired, so please help! Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the Community Forums.
You can review the power check out guide here on page 21-22 of the hardware manual for the steps to isolate the power issue. This may involve removing the battery so it would be best to consult a service center if you do not have the tools.
It may be better to start with checking the AC charger first and if you have a spare compatible charger to use hoping that it is just a charger issue. I would also suggest refraining from using the same charger on the laptop as it may pose danger to the machine.
Update us how it goes.

I have the same issue. After going through numerous diagnostic checks I took to a Lenovo certified service company. I was told the motherboard needed to be replaced. Extremely disappointed as I purchased the machine 15 months ago. I have owned/used enterrprise focused Lenovo products for many years - extremely disappointed in the quality or lack there of in this machine.

Had the same issue. Had my great laptop for 18 months before this happenned. Have tried replacing the battery 2x and finally got a good diagnostic telling me the Mainboard needs to be replaced for about 500 bucks (while I paid 600 for the laptop), what a joke.
Does anyone out there know if the issue is the Mosfet similar to the Flex 3 1580 forums ?
I'm basically looking for someone to see if this can be fixed manually becuase clearly Lenovo is ignoring this faulty design issue and ignoring their customers.
Used to be a big fan

Wow, exact same thing for me! 18 months and will not charge. Already sent in for warranty repair as it was acting up, was given a new adapter lol. Now it will sometimes boot up when plugged in but will not charge. I've removed all the bloatware, unplugged battery for sometime, drained power while disconnected. I'm goign to replace the power jack cable ($9) for the hell of it but I'm sure it's a chip that I don't have the skills for. I used to respect Lenovo, when did they turn into HP??

Please add me to the list of unhappy users wityh a functioning PC whose battery will not charge.
I am told that the part of the motherboard that charges is fried. Does anyone know how to remove and charge the battery, because both rthe PC and the battery are both fine. It simply will not charge.

Some of us have resorted to actually soldering an AC adapter right to the battery. It's not expensive to do and it works! I'm just as dissapointed and I hope to avoid Lenovo products until firther notice. But I have a charging laptop again.
