Hi everyone, have a Lenovo Flex 3 1480 that is out of warranty (2 years old) and this week it started flickering when charging. So I tried another charger, same thing, tried another battery... which actually is a higher charge and doesn't flicker from charging to not, but won't go above the % it was already on. I've fiddled with tons of programs and googled the heck out of it. Has anyone had a fix for this without replacing the entire motherboard? It also doesn't appear to charge when off.

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
It may be worth getting a replacement charger.
Try a static discharge for this, it may help to resolve the issue or at least get rid of any built up static on the motherboard.
(If the battery is internal, please just skip the remove/replace battery steps.)
1. Turn the unit off
2. Remove the battery and the Mains adapter
3. Press and hold the front power button for 30 seconds
4. Replace the battery and the Mains adapter
5. Turn the unit on as normal
Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.

Had the same issue. Had my great laptop for 18 months before this happenned. Have tried replacing the battery 2x and finally got a good diagnostic telling me the Mainboard needs to be replaced for about 500 bucks (while I paid 600 for the laptop), what a joke.
Does anyone out there know if the issue is the Mosfet similar to the Flex 3 1580 forums ?
I'm basically looking for someone to see if this can be fixed manually becuase clearly Lenovo is ignoring this faulty design issue and ignoring their customers.
