Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum!
As it's a fairly new device, I'd suggest just to wait and see if they release a BIOS update. Keep checking back on the Lenovo website.
Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo!

I have the 1570, and got the same warning. However, when I went to the driver section of the site it showed that the 1570 used the same bios file as the 510.
In my case the description on the website was correct and the warning in the installer was wrong.

From a Flex 4-1580 owner: the BIOS that the Lenovo Update offers, can be accepted. True, there was no BIOS section on Lenovo's Support site for this laptop. BUT! Windows 10 recently download the latest BIOS in a form of Windows Update, "v2.23", and installed it at the next reboot. In the BIOS itself, the version is shown "2SCN23WW(V2. 03)" (not a typo).
So actually the Flex 4-1580 belongs to a group of latest laptops that updates the BIOS/UEFI through Windows (10) Update directly. The owner does not have to do anything, it is automatic. Just make sure - if you notice - to have enough battery charge when you restart, and also have your laptop plugged in to the charger. These are for precautions.
The update process: your screen before starting Windows will tell you that a System Update is being processed. When it's done, it will reboot and start your Windows. Your BIOS/UEFI settings might by reset to defaults. So again, if you notice this update, go check your settings - if you know what you are doing.

Received the following errors in the log for installing the bios update through comapnion:

Message: Update BIOS Update - 10 installation failed
How do you know if BIOS update is needed or not. The bios level available is greater than what I have installed. How can I determine what the failure reason is?

Do what I'm about to do. After hours trying to contact support from Lenovo unsuccessfully to find out why my bios update always failed, I decided to buy another notebook from another brand.
