Lenovo IdeaPad 310-15ABR Splash Screen Issue

Recently,

My Lenovo IdeaPad 310-15ABR has been freezing on the loading screen. 

 

Ive done the following steps to fix it.

Novo Button? Where's that because there is none. Restart over and over again. 

 

Try Booting into BIOS by FN+F2 and F2

Hi HowDoIProject,

 

Welcome to the Community Forums.

 

Freezing may be happening while the computer tries to load Windows and complete the boot to the Windows login screen. The issue can be a bad start up file/ Windows boot error or even a bad harddrive.

 

To best isolate the issue especially if other parts are affected, try to fully shut down the machine using the power button manually.  Then locate the Novo Button as seen in the image below (item 8 page 5 of the user manual here) to check if the BIOS set up screen is functional (can move in tabs without freeze).

 

If able to access the BIOS and appears that the issue is only on harddrive booting to Windows, then call in technical support for in warranty support. One Key Recovery service may result in data lost as described in the user manual page 20 here.

 

Else, using a bootable diagnostics to test the hardware can be another option to isolate the issue.

I'm able to boot up BIOS, but It seems to be an boot error

Hi HowDoIProject,

 

Have you also called technical support or ran the bootable diagnostics here?

 

Isolation now proceeds whether it is an issue with the harddrive or the software itself. 

 

I usually remove the hard drive (steps mentioned in the hardware manual here) and check if it is readable so at the same time to perform data backup. With the diagnostics performed then you would be able to proceed to the next step if doing a repair using a recovery image would help (Windows issue) or replacement hard drive is needed.

So,

 

I tried doing the Bootable Diagnostics, but it doesn't boot into it. I changed the setting through BIOS and eventually, it still suck on the screen. It doesn't give me the options for the Diagnostics. Waiting before I contact Technical Support, until then I will attempt to remove the Hard-drive and test it.
