Lenovo IdeaPad 720s Screen Separation

Hello,

I am posting on behalf of my mom.

Similar to some complaints of the Yoga Series her IdeaPad 720s screen is beginning to separate from the panel. Because I seldom ever use her laptop I've not really noticed.

While trying to figure out an issue shes been having with some work software (electronic health records), I noticed that the bottom of the panel (in between the rubber seal and hinge area) is slightly exposed and is showing some of the innards of the laptop.

She doesn't have the greatest eye sight, so she hasn't noticed.

Is anyone else having these issues?

Is there a fix or am I going to have to RMA the unit? She's only had the unit for about a month and a half.

Re: Lenovo IdeaPad 720s Screen Separation

Hi rfrick

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Usually machines outside the return policy date would need to b referred to technical support for possible repair.

With the warranty still active, it would be best to have tech support handle the machine instead of reseating the panel as it does involve a lot of parts to secure to have the LCD panel (FRU -field tech replaceable unit) reseated even if it is just a loose screw.
