Help pls i upgraded my ideapad 100 from windows 8.1 to windows 10 and since then anytime i startup the system from shutdown the brightnes control becomes inverse(ie increasing the brightness reduces the screen brightness and vice versa) but if i restart the system it works normally and also if i disable and enable the Intel HD graphics from device manager it works properly.
But since i will be using the shut down and startup option more frequently than the restart i dont know if there is any fix for this.

Welcome in lenovo community,
Please try to uninstall the graphic driver from the device manager >> then restart the laptop >> right click the graphic driver from the device manager >> Update driver software.

I have tried the solution you mentioned above but it didnt fix it.
After searching google for the solution, i found out that the problem is unique to Intel Pentium N3540 Processor and it HD Graphics Adapter.
The best fix i found was to Turn Off Windows Fast Boot Option so that windows can load the driver properly
And i really want to turn back on this fast boot option

Updating the driver didn't help me. I saw a video on Youtube that discribed this as a Registry issue. You go to your search bar by the start button and type in 'regedit'. A screen shows up with a long file that starts with 'computer'. You click on the icon to the left of 'computer' and now the screen just says 'computer'. You then go to 'find' and type in 'FeatureTestControl'. After a minute or two, the computer finds 'FeatureTestControl'. You click on this and a box comes up to change the value. In the video, the found value was 'FFFF'. On my laptop, it was 'f000'. You change the value to 'ffff' and hit enter. After a reboot, my brightness controls worked as they should.
