Lenovo Ideapad 100s Key & Touchpad NOT WORKING

First off, I'm going to say this laptop was a Christmas gift from a friend. I do not have ANY computers in this house aside from this one. I use this laptop for blogging and listening to music as well as job hunting, however, it will not register the keyboard or touchpad at all. I called Customer Support and the best answer they could give me was to bring it back to the store I got it from--this was an incompetent answer to the problem. I have tried touching and holding the power button for 15 seconds and when it restarts, the problem is not fixed. None of the keys are working. Period. I have a mouse for a gaming computer, however, I do not have a keyboard to plug in to use. If I could get a response to this, that would be GREAT!!! I cannot log in or do anything with my lap top right now and am currently stuck doing things from my cell phone.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad 100s Key & Touchpad NOT WORKING

Hi OnyxBatman

Thanks for posting on the forum!

Have you checked to see if the keyboard/mouse drivers are up to date in the device manager? If you have and it states that they are up to date, then it might be worth visiting this page, entering your SN or product name and find the relavant driver for your device and re-try it that way.

Let us know how it goes.
