I just bought a brand new laptop, Lenovo Ideapad 320-151IKB. Window 10 Home should be pre installed. However on my first boot, I got the following message.
"Default Boot Device Missing or boot failed
Insert recovery media and hit any key
Then select boot manager to choose a new boot device to boot or recovery media."
I can only press OK.
I search through the forum and the soluation was to fo to Boot Mode in Bios, press Enter, swap from "UEFI" to "Legacy Support". Under that Swap UEFI to legacy First.
But I got another error. It still unable to load up. (As per attached jpg file)
PXE-E61: Media test failure, Check cable
after that, it auto restarts.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
If there was a preloaded OS then the BIOS defaults need not to be changed as we expect it to proceed to boot. If there is failure then best to contact the store / tech support to inform them for appropriate action. It would either be the image or an issue with the storage part specially if the drive do not show in the BIOS.
Update us how it goes.

The number Spidey supplied was an example of what to look for - not the exact number you should see.
Look on the underside of your notebook, you should see a portion showing information on your specific notebook, including the "MTM" number, copy your number into your response, and yes it will be different than the one Spidey mentioned. This will help Spidey located your speficifations and supply you with a better response.

It is a new one. It may just need to be updated on the next server updates soon.
I was able to check further on the systemboard PN 5B20P99233 with entitlement for Windows 10 64 bit Home edition. I suggest that you call technical support to inform them of the issue. You are not required to open the machine but just check the BIOS if the 1TB Seagate harddrive is detected.
I hope this helps answer your query.

Inform them that the harddrive is still detected by the BIOS but still says missing operating system. We verified that your machine should be preloaded with Windows 10 64 bit Home.
They would be able to provide options which ever would be faster for your convenience.
