I have an Ideapad 320 15ISK, I was planning to install a 128 GBs SSD into it by replacing the CD/DVD drive with an SSD cady. However I fear that this could impose a bottleneck to the read/write speeds of the SSD, as I have no information regarding the type and speed of the CD/DVD drive connector slot.
I was not able to find any m.2 slots on the motherboard. Also the Ideapad 320 came with a 1TB HDD that is quite fast, reaching a reading speed of 125 MB/s and a write speed of 100MB/s, making the installation of the SSD quite useless if I will get similar speeds, not to mention that this is unacceptable for an SSD.
So I wanted to ask whether the CD/DVD socket is SATAIII and capable of 6Gb transfer rates or not.

Welcome to the Community Forums.
The optical drive slot is SATA I x1 and is not capable of 6GB transfer rate.
I hope this helps answer your query.
