I bought this new laptop but no specification about RAM were provided or known at the shop.
I need to know if it is possible to upgrade. If the ram can be upgraded by adding 2 sticks or 4GB Ram or if only 1 - 8GB Ram stick will work.
Also i would like to know if using the cradle that is for the CD Drive can be used to add a SSD to run the machine of, but also keeping the 1TB HDD that is already on there.
Thanks in advance,

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Ideapad 320 15-IKB goes in different variants, each model detailed by its machine type model (MTM) from the sticker or you can also get it from here.
16GB max / 2133MHz DDR4, dual-channel capable, optional
4GB memory soldered to systemboard, one DDR4 SO-DIMM socket
So there is only one available slot for upgrade to place in 8GB ddr4 2133MHz RAM.
Here is the hardware manual as reference guide.
There are claims of using a cradle / caddy for additional storage here and here but are not guaranteed by OEM so it can be possible. There may be challenges on detection but still worth a try as not much success story is confirmed.
I hope this helps answer your query.
