Hi I bought a Lenovo laptop about a year and a half ago the Ideapad 500-15ACZ and I have gotten attached to it due to its great performance and reliability. The thing is that this model doesn’t have a dedicated video card which makes almost impossible even launching most of the newest games. I was wondering, its there’s any way to upgrade my laptop or is it better to just sell it and buy a new one.

Hi Kirios ,
Welcome to the Community Forums.
Ideapad 500 is a work and multitasking pc , gaming experience may be compromise as the VGA chip cannot be added since it is soldered to the board and is non upgradable.
RAM (DDR3L-1333 MHz / 1600 MHz SODIMM × 2 (max 16 GB) and HHD to SSD can be upgraded but would not be enough for gaming and it would be best to get a gaming laptop instead.
Personally , I'd rather have 2 machines . One as work pc and other as game pc and works great as a backup for the other in any event that would arise.
Hope this help answer your query.
