Lenovo Ideapad 510-15IKB battary life

Hello every body

Two days ago I bought new laptop (510-15IKB Laptop (ideapad)) but I have many problems.
I installed windows 10 pro downloaded form microsoft website.

1- Battery life is only 2 hours without any multimedia working just internet and programs installation.

2- on dark background or black screen there is a white light at the right bottom corner and top corner.
3- if I change the the screen contrast using windows 10 method when contrast go down there is a smooth light vibrations.
4- wireless disconnecets many times.

By the way how long should laptop work on Battery?

Thank you

Re: Lenovo Ideapad 510-15IKB battary life

Hello Utechs

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.

Have you attempted to use the unit before peforming the installations?

Did it experience any of these issues?

If not, I would recommedn that you revert back to the previous version of windows, and observe if the issue persists or not.

If it does, then it will likely indicate a hardware issue.

Unfortunately could not confirm the battery life, as I do not have this unit, but I suspect that it should be more than 2 hours.

Try to download the Video and Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page for the display issue.

Make sure to reboot after an update on the unit.

If the above does not work, then I would recommend attempting a factory reset, this would confirm if it is a hardware issue, in which case, if the issue persists, then I would recommend that as the unit was bought recently, you return to your place of purchase, and they will should be able to offer you a replacement/refund, depending on their terms and conditions of course.

Note: Please back up all your data as running this reset will delete any data on your machine

1. Turn the machine off and press the recovery button which is located usually next to the power button. If you have a desktop machine you will need to power the machine back on and keep tapping the F2 key.
2. Use the arrow keys and press enter on system recovery. ( Desktop users can skip this)
3. Select “restore from the initial backup” and then “Next”.
4. Click “start” and accept the warning messages.
Length of time can vary depending on the speed of the machine.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.
