Hello everyone !
I have just bought my laptop Lenovo ideapad 520-15Ikb (type 81BF) ten days ago
when I play any sound on my speakers or headphones I always hear a crackling noise with it
i face that when I put my laptop on best performance mode while it is plugged in
while on best battery life mode I don't hear that noise so is it a hardware problem should I exchange my laptop ?!

Welcome to the Community Forums.
Just to confirm you've mentioned that this crackling sound only occurs when the charger is plugged in. Have you checked if it's properly plugged into your laptop? Can you also try to move the charger to see if the crackling sound would disappear. If yes, it seems that the charging port is grounded and we recommend that you have it repaired. You may also bring it back to the store where you purchase it if its still cover by the store's return policy.

The crackling sound appears on best performance mode while charger is plugged in but when i put it on best battery life mode
and the charger is still plugged in I don't hear that sound I always use it with charger plugged in its a matter of changing the power mode
from the power slider
Thanks for your concern,

Another hand here to help. Let us make sure that the drivers are up to date. You can run the Lenovo Vantage app on the computer and check for further updates. Let us identify its cause between hardware and software.

Everything is upto date all what I suffer is at the best performance mode
I want to know if it is a hardware problem or a software one that would be fixed with the upcoming updates for drivers or even windows

Update the crackling sounds gets lower and it doesn't appear for all the time yo can hear it if you concentrate with the song only what I want to know should I keep the laptop and it will disappear or it will affect me on the long run using my laptop Or should I return the laptop for the check from the official agent of Lenovo would he hear the sound I am hearing or just he will bring it back
