I have a couple of quick questions regarding Lenovo IdeaPad 520S battery change.
I purchased a new unit in May 2018 (type 81BL009-GUS) and only realized that it came with a 2 cell 30Wh battery. I understand that some of the 520S comes with a much larger battery like 3 cell 52.5Wh, which is much more attractive with 8 - 10 hour life.
I further looked into it:
The 2cell battery model is type L14L2P21 (30Wh, 8.4V voltage)
The 3cell battery model is type L15L3PB0 (52.5Wh, 11.4V voltage)
Can I check if anyone know:
1. Where to get authentic lenovo battery? The sales team wont sell it to me
2. Whether I can directly change these 2 batteries given the difference in voltage. Would this have any impact on laptop performance?

I can answer one of your questions, You can buy parts from the Lenovo Encompass store.

I have the same problem. I've searched on internet, called lenovo and gone to some technical shops and they said me that is possible to replace battery. I found this shop: www.laptop-parts-shop.com/ideapad-520s-114v-525wh-battery-for-lenovo-laptop-p-328226.html.
the battery is with this code:
It is compatible with my 520S 14IKB-80x2 .
Do you replace your laptop's battery? there is difference about duration? how long does the charge last?
