(1) Shutdown Windows and power off the system.

(2) Load the DVD into a USB DVD drive.

(3) Connect the USB DVD drive to a USB socket on the 700-15ISK.

(4) Press the "Novo" button to power on the system and display the "Novo Button Menu".

(5) On the "Novo Button Menu", select "Boot Menu".

(6) On the "Boot Menu", select the USB CD/DVD drive.

The "Novo" button is concealed beneath the casing, and you press it by inserting a straightened paper clip (or similar) into the correct hole in the casing.  Consult the "Hardware Maintenance Manual" for your system to determine where the hole is located.

Note:

(a) If your system is operating in UEFI mode (GPT partition table), the DVD must be capable of booting and installing in UEFI mode.

(b) If your system is operating in legacy mode (MBR partition table), the DVD must be capable of booting and installing in legacy mode.

Some DVDs can boot and install in either mode (e.g. the Microsoft Windows 10 install image), but other DVDs can boot and install in only one mode (e.g. the Lenovo Windows 10 install image).
