Lenovo Ideapad 700 Keyboard malfunction

Hello,

I purchased the notebook on June 3rd 2017.

The keyboard had always problems.

When I write in facebook or even in the Notepad program, either the first letter of some words is missing or it writes double letters.

I have browsed this and other forums and haven't found any solution.

Bios is updated. The lenovo companion does not have further updates.

This is what I am going to do:

I will mke (I was writining MAKE)  the reseller replace the computer every week uless (UNLESS) I will get a working machine.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad 700 Keyboard malfunction

Hi there, Steaz -

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

Does the external keyboard produce the same problem? Have you tried to boot into safe mode?

Also, Reseating the Connections may help or cleaning the keyboard itself.

Update us how it goes.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad 700 Keyboard malfunction

Hi,

with external usb keboard there are no problems.

I don't think I should clean the keyboard on a 12 days new machine and I do not know how to clean it.

I will boot into safe mode to test.

Thanks for your reply

This sounds similar to the problem described in the following thread:

https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/Lenovo-IdeaPad-100-305-500-Edge/ideapad-700-15ISK-Keyboard-missing-keys...

If it is that problem, there is currently no solution.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad 700 Keyboard malfunction

Thanks @CyberSimian

Browsing the forum and widely the web, I have aknowledged that there is no solution. Ok, let's regret for this bad purchase and pray for Lenovo to find a solution and call back every flawed product for a fair replacement. (I had to rewrite this post at least three times due to the misfunction)

Re: Lenovo Ideapad 700 Keyboard malfunction

Hi there, Lenovo Engineers

this is my solution:

disable the touchpad and the keyboard will work like a charm.

Obviously you will have to use a mouse instead.

In my opinion there has been a flaw in the assembly process and I am pretty sure you will recall all the faulty machines and replace them with new working one for free.

No, it doesn't help. When I type some letters go misiing. This i a generalized issue. I cannot rely on this machine.
