My Lenovo Ideapad 720s-14IKB fingerprint can't work now.
I have tried the following methods:
1. Uninstall the original drive from the Device Manager (also check the delete block)
1.1 Go to Bios and change the intel SGX control to disabled
2. Use the Lenovo website to update the driver (also used the auto-check function from the website)
3. Run Lenovo Vantage to search the latest driver
4. Run Windows update
5. Run Driver Booster
6 Download "Synaptics Fingerprint Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - ThinkPad A275, A475" (I know it might not work but I still tried because it also shares the same Synaptics WBDI drivers)
7. Recovery the system (windows 10)
I was troubled because after the methods above I tried, the fingerprint works for a while ( few days to few weeks, most within a week). And then It fails again.
Due to the fingerprint wasn't failed all way long so I think that it is not the hardware problems, is that right?
Does anyone have the same issue and have fixed the problems, thanks a lot.

I just noticed that the in the drivers details tab, in the problem code tab, it gives the error code 0000000A, which if I remember correctly is also the blue screen of death error code.

I had the same problem. (Lenovo 720S-14IKB). And I have tried everything what they tell in the forums. But they all failed. The solution is to unplug the fingerprint reader cable and plug it again. To do this you have to remove the lower case of the notebook. So you may need a technician's support. Also you may watch videos related.
