I just received the laptop today and tried to download a small file and I had to wait over an hour. On my Toshiba I waited 10 seconds. I have stuff I need to download and I pretty much cannot do any of my work on my new laptop. How can I fix this?

Thanks for using the Lenovo forums.
Make sure that all windows updates are done and not pending.
And also, try to download the WiFi and Chipset drivers for the unit from the support page. Make sure to reboot after an update on the unit.
