Lenovo Ideapad Flex 4 1470 hinges.

I have been using my Ideapad as both a laptop and a tablet and the hinge on the left side had started to crack and the screen is now leaning to the left. Is there any way I can fix this? I looked and it says the limited warranty I have doesn't cover this and I seem to not be able to get the Protection Plan either.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad Flex 4 1470 hinges.

Hi briceharris47 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

The Protection plan is for accidental damage , as the way you have described it " started to crack " .

Would there be any accidents happened before you noticed that the laptop leeans to the left?

I would suggest that you try giving technical support a call at least so that you can also get their option for you.

Otherwise , you can check it with Best Buy for possible repair as they would have lenovo tech taht would be able to do it for you but with a paid cost.

Hope this help answer your query.

Update us how it goes.

Regards

No, there was no damage. I haven't dropped it or anything. It happened as I was switching it back from the tent position to the laptop position. I'll check at both of those, however. Thanks.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad Flex 4 1470 hinges.

Hi briceharris47 ,

Greetings.

Since there was no recalled accidents and that you just noticed a developing crack on the hinges when you try to change mode that you suspected as reason for the misaligned level , call in technical support and describe it as is.

It would always be orth exploring your options.

Hope this answer your query.

Regards
