Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 14 2-in-1 PC , 81C9000CUS - does this support PCI NVME?

HI, so i'm thinking about buying this,

https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/store/d/lenovo-ideapad-flex-5-14-2-in-1-pc/91jb40s7kj8g/h3lk?activet...

i'd like to know, if it supports PCI NVME drives.  I know it has an M2 slot, as well as a regular sata 2.5 slot, so i can put 2 drives, both SSD at once.  But for the m2 slot, would it have to be SATA or can it be NVME?  Thanks for any help.

Re: Lenovo Ideapad Flex 5 14 2-in-1 PC , 81C9000CUS - does this support PCI NVME?

Hi shynepo3,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

The Flex 5-1470 (Type 81C9) Laptop / part number 81C9000CUS must be a M.2 NVMe SSD.

Storage specification:

Some: HDD / SATA 6.0Gb/s, 2.5" wide, 7mm high
Some: M.2 SSD / PCIe 3.0 x 4

OEM recommended M.2 SSD listed here PCIe-NVMe for model 81C9.

Hope this helps answer your query.

Regards

Is it possible to add samsung SSD EVO 2.5" SATA III 500GB to the below mentioned slot?

Some: HDD / SATA 6.0Gb/s, 2.5" wide, 7mm high

What is the maximum size supported by this slot for SSD?
