Didn't realize the laptop was unplugged and went completely dead sitting there for a month. Went to plug in to power up and nothing. Thought maybe cat chewed on charger cable and tested it and was only pulling 4v vs the 20v it's supposed to but tried new charger that Lenovo sent and still nothing. I've heard battery could be un-chargeable if left to completely die and sit for a while but still don't get why laptop won't boot up when plugged in.
Am I dealing with something else internal in addition to a dead battery?

Thank you for using the Lenovo forum,
What you can try doing is if the battery is removable take it out the plug the ac in and try turn it on to check. If nothing works still i suggest contacting Lenovo support again as the device may need repairing.
Hope this help you and let us know how you get on

i have a flex 3 80R4. just recently, i discovered that it wont charge when i plug in the ac adaptor. i only have some 4% battery life left now and it just wont charge. i regret getting a lenovo machine since this is less than 6 months old. the battery is inbuilt so there is really nothing i can do.

Yep contacted lenovo support and they walked me through some quick troubleshooting and then arranged for shipment to a service center since it needed to have a tech look at it. Turned out the motherboard needed replacement so since it was under warrenty all I had to cover out of pocket was shipping to the service center. The turn around time was a total of 4 business days from when they received it to when I got it back (I live in IL and shipped to KY) so not bad.
