Re: Lenovo ideapad 330 15ikb ram upgrade

Hi @arpadls

Welcome to Community Forums!

Based on the Specification of your 330-15IKB as shown on the photo below, the maximum tested memory is 16GB.

Capture 01.JPG

As I checked on the 330-15IKB (Type 81DC) for Hungary, these units has 4GB Soldered DDR4-2133.

Though it shows on the photo above that the soldered 4GB is optional so that means your computer may have or may not have it and for us to be able to check on that i will be needing your MTM which looks like this 81DC013GHV.

For 330-15IKB (Type 81DC) without 4GB soldered on it you can use upto 16GB max of memory stick but for the one with 4GB soldered on it you can only add up 8GB (the reason behind that is because there is no 12GB available in the market)

Your computer is compatible  to work for DDR4-2133SODIMM, 2400 SODIMM and DDR4 2666 SODIMM

You may click on this link and select Memory under Commodity for the compatible RAM to your computer.

Click on this link ( page 45) for your reference on how to check/remove or replace your RAM.

Hope this help answer your query.

Regards

Re: Lenovo ideapad 330 15ikb ram upgrade

Hi @arpadls ,

Thanks for replying.

According to System Specifications, Ideapad 330-15IKB Model 81DE has the same specs with regards to RAM upgrade.

Ideapad 330-15IKB.PNG

It shows on the photo above that the soldered 4GB is optional so that means your computer may have or may not have it.

Without 4GB soldered on it you can use upto 16GB max of memory stick but for the one with 4GB soldered on it you can only add up 8GB.

Yes, you can upgrade the RAM on your own. As long as it does not cause any damage or malfunction on the unit, it will not void the warranty.

You can check Product Warranty and Other Agreements on this link.

Check this link ( page 45) for your reference on how to check/remove or replace your RAM.

Hope this helps with your query.

Regards

Re: Lenovo ideapad 330 15ikb ram upgrade

Hi @arpadls

As i checked on this MTM 81DE01P3US ( a USA model ), the Memory shows it came with 4GB Soldered + 2GB DIMM DDR4-2133.

You may click here and select Memory under Commodity for the compatible RAM for ideapad 330 15ikb (81DE).

Click on this link ( page 45) for your reference on how to check/remove or replace your RAM.

For your reference third party reseller claims that they were able to prove a 20GB total of RAM will work on this model

which means that if you have 4GB soldered on your motherboard you can either add up to 16GB on the SODIMM Slot to make a total of 20GB for your RAM.

Hope this help answer your query.
