my ideapad was preloaded with windows 10 x64 home edition. i have purchased windows 10 x64 prof.
i installed my new os in the ideapad using the changes made in bios.
"Enter BIOS, open the Exit Menu. Set OS Optimized Defaults as disabled. Or go to the Boot tab. Set the Boot Mode to Legacy Support, then set USB Boot to Enabled"
by the above mentioned method i clean installed windows 10 x64 prof by deleting all the partitions.
now when i am trying to update the bios its not getting updated. i am getting error as bios is not in UEFI. in bios when i change to UEFI it stops in boot mode
how to update mu bios? how to change to UEFI mode?

You didn't need to set the boot mode to Legacy Support, you should install it without legacy support, but install on the UEFI, so next time turn the legacy support OFF, and install the Windows on the UEFI. If you turn legacy off, it automatically should be UEFI
