Hi everyone, I was thinking about upgrading my ideapad 700-15isk RAM from the original 8GB to 16GB, but I'm not sure if the RAM model I found is compatible. From searching the forum this model has "32GB max / PC4-17000 2133MHz DDR4, two 260-pin SO-DIMM sockets". The problem is that I'm having trouble finding compatible RAM to buy in my country, most of the models from this range seem to have been discontinued. The only RAM model that I managed to find that is remotely similar to the specifications is "G.SKILL Ripjaws 8GB (1x8GB) DDR4-2133MHz CL15 (F4-2133C15S-8GRS)". But I see no reference to the "PC4-17000" bit. Does it mean it's not exactly the same? (sorry if it's a dumb question). I assume there's a risk that different MHz models might not work, right?

I've returned for an update in case it helps someone in a similar situation. I ended up finding and buying another model in a physical store: Corsair Memory 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 SODIMM 2133MHz C15 (CMSO16GX4M2A2133C15). I've just installed the two 8 GB RAM modules and everything seems to be working fine. I've ran the MemTest86 and also found no problems. So if anyone is wondering if this particular model is compatible here is your answer.
