I have a problem with my Thunderbolt 3. I had to do a clean install of windows 10. I used the built-in function of windows 10. And did a hard reset, so no bloatware survived. After the reset everything worked well, but the thunderbolt software did not install itself, like the rest did.
I downloaded the driver and software from the support page for my device. (here: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/nl/nl/products/laptops-and-netbooks/700-series/720s-13ikb-type-81bv/81b...).
But after this it still doesn't work..! I think I'm missing the firmware part.
(Like this for the thinkpad x1 carbon: https://support.lenovo.com/nl/nl/downloads/ds120382)
It looks like this:
I contacted Lenovo support here in The Netherlands but he said I had to do a reset. I know this isn't gonna work, because it'll just reset itself to standard Windows. And then i still don't have the firmware..
Anybody an idea or know where I could maybe get the firmware?

For your model, on the download page, the Thunderbolt driver and firmware are on the same page. The firmware is the first item in the list. Check here.......

Thanks for the reaction! And my apoligies for the double post.
I have tried the above files, but i get an error that I should connect 'the thunderbolt 3 dock'.
I don't have a thunderbolt 3 dock etc. with me. So i'll try it in a couple of days when I have acces to one.
Thanks for your help and i'll post something if it is indeed the solution.

Hey! I have get great progress.
I get AKiTiO 10Gbps Ethernet Thunderbolt 3 device and test. My 720S-14IKB works good with this device
We all misunderstanding LENOVO because after I connect this device,
all of information about TB3 controller is shown.
Even I remove this TB3 device and resart system still see the controller information.
All figrue is shown below and the problom is solved by myself.

Same problem with 720S-14IKB, trying to connect an Apple Thunderbolt display through a TB3-TB2 adaptor. (Running updated Win10 Pro (1709/RS3 with BIOS 6LCN20WW(v1.06 dated 15Mar18), and all Lenovo driver updates).
I do not see TB controller listed on the PCI Bus with adaptor plugged in.
Is there a newer BIOS or a separate download for TB controller?
How do I know if my TB port is even working?
