I work at a very poor not-for-profit. I bought a Lenovo 300S-11IBR desktop at Best Buy to replace my antique work computer. After it died a scant two months later and had to go back to the manufactuer to have the motherboard replaced, I discovered our recently fired IT person lost the power adapter. I was then horrified to learn that Lenovo's power adapter cord is propriatary and that a replacement will cost anywhere from 25 to 45 dollars. I would have never bought this computer if I had realized that you try to trap your customers with this kind of nonsense. You know this desktop is filled with laptop components and that your cord is no innovation. Shame on you Lenovo.

Wow that seems like a really good price for a power adapter. I personally like lenovo's power adapter. They are interchangable between so many of their laptop and desktop units. It definitely makes life easier for me as a technician to troubleshoot power issues. The person who lost it needs to pony up!
