Hi ,

Thanks for reaching out.

You can refer to Platform Specifications regarding the Ideapad L340-15IRH.

Ideapad L340-15IRH offers maximum of 15GB for the RAM / 24000MHz DDR4.

You can refer to Support Site for compatible RAM: https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/ideapad-l-series-laptop/l340-15irh-gaming/81lk/parts/display/compatible. Type in serial number then search. Go to Parts > Compatible > Commodity Type > Memory.

You can check the Support Site to download the updated BIOS version. Just type in the serial number then search. Go to Drivers and Software > Manual Update >  BIOS/UEFI.

Hope this helps with your query.

Regards

Re: Ram upgrade issue

Hi, I have the 128gb SSD, (GTX 1650 4GB GPU) 8GB RAM (as far as I know, 8gb shows in windows>About specification page. and it is I5 9300H cpu. I would like to upgrade the SSD to 1TB, would you let me know if this is possible, and what model/brand of ssd to get? Also, I of course want to upgrade the single slot 8GB to 16GB, is this ok too? I have heard some 17 IRH models have 4gb soldered into the motherboard, hopefully not my 15IRH !

To keep it simple Smiley HappyHopefully I can just get the compatible 1TB SSD and a 16 GB RAM card (at right speed and preferred brand etc). Very happy with tha laptop so far, it just deserves the SSD and RAM upgrade! Thank you.

Hi ,

Welcome to Community Forums!

Do you also have the Ideapad L340-15IRH?

Can you provide us the model number of your computer?

Some Ideapad L340-15IRH have 4GB soldered to the motherboard. You can refer to Platform Specifications.

You can also refer to the Support Site for compatible RAM and SSD. Just key in the serial number then search.

Go to Parts > Compatible > Commodity Type. (select Solid State Drive / Memory)

According to Crucial website, they offer 16 to 20GB Max RAM and up to 2TB for SSD.

Hope this helps with your query.

Regards
