Replacing Thermal Paste voids Warranty?

Hello, I have a laptop of Ideapad 320-15IKB 81BG and I still have a 355 days warranty and would lke to reapply my thermal paste as it have been almost a year now that I have used this laptop. So, I would like to know if reaplying a better thermal paste to gpu+cpu void my warranty?

Re: Replacing Thermal Paste voids Warranty?

Maintenance and user upgrades won't void the warranty (and it's actually protected by law in the US, see the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Improvement Act).

But if you end up damaging a component while you replace the thermal paste, that will certainly void your warranty.

As a side note, I personally don't recommend changing the thermal paste so early on unless you see a significant decrease in cooling performance.

Hope that helps.
