Reseting Lenovo ideapad 100s with built in battery

I tried turning on my ideapad one morning and it came up with the message "Your PC did not start up correctly". I tried factory reseting it and it ran into a storage problem. I also have tried hard reseting it by disconnecting the battery and cable and holding down the power button for 20 seconds and that didn't work either any ideas?

Can you clarify that storage problem you said?

Did you try sfc/scannow and chkdsk in CMD?

Re: Reseting Lenovo ideapad 100s with built in battery

Hi GamerGlitch,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

Would you have the machine number (MTM ex. 80R2003UUS) from the sticker or to check it from here? It would give us more details about the machine and I hope you can share the error message when you attempted doing reset.

On the error prompt " Your PC did not start up correctly" I think you proceeded with the advanced otions. You may also have tried system restore and startup repair then system image recovery.

On the command prompt option, type:

sfc /scannow  (press enter)

If that failed to repair proceed with :

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth (press enter)

Else type: bootrec /rebuildbcd

Update us how it goes.

Regards

Re: Reseting Lenovo ideapad 100s with built in battery

For the sfc /scannow command it said "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation".

For the Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth I got error 50

And for it gave me 4 commands on that are supported.

Re: Reseting Lenovo ideapad 100s with built in battery

When I click Reset is PC. I reset it to where I am going to keep it it says getting things ready than it just says "There is a problem resetting your PC." and it doesn't specify what the problem is.
