I would like to upgrade my laptop (Ideapad 700-15ISK) and buy a SSD. The manual has specified only one, but I would like a list with what I can buy and not having compatibility problems.
For example, I was thinking at this one: SSD Plextor M8Pe 256GB PCI Express x4 M.2 2280 px-256m8peg
Can I buy it? Thank you!

Welcome to the Community Forums.
OEM certified part for SSD upgrade via an M.2 slot (as indicated by the hardware manual (item4 page68):
Such certified parts are tested and verified compatible with the Ideapad 700-15ISK.
4 Part number: 5SD0J46480 SSD,128GB PM951 M.2 PCIE,Samsung MZVLV128HCGR 128GB M.2 PCIE SSD
4 Part number: 5SD0J46479 SSD,256GB PM951 M.2 PCIE,Samsung MZVLV256HCHP 256GB M.2 PCIE SSD
Venturing on non-OEM recommended parts, fellow members of our community verified that the following works on their system (click on the highlighted link for full discussion) for other option as I was not able to check Plextor among the post within the community forums yet.
simsub successfully installed a Samsung SSD SM951 (M.2 PCIe MVNe, vNAND MLC, 256Go) on this discussion.
idealmanu decided to buy the SM961 256GB which is the OEM version of the 960 PRO from here
neliel claims it works with the IdeaPad 700. Tested and proven for a Samsung 850 evo M.2 sata SSD here.
I would suggest in purchasing third party parts to always check on return options just in case.
Hope this help answer your query.
