I have purchased a new laptop (idea pad 330s) around December 2018 with an extended warranty and recently discovered that two screws are missing from the back of the laptop.

The warranty covers the missing screws, but does not cover damages such as cracks and liquid damage. As for your second question have you noticed if the screws just recently fell out or if the screws were not there to begin with.
