I have the same issue. I tried what Shashi suggested but it still shows the cat with "X" on startup. It initially scared heck out of me as if my computer was totally hacked.

Re: Strange Boot Splash Screen after BIOS update Ideapad 310-15IKB

In response to customer reports that a BIOS without the Lenovo logo was provided for the Miix 310-15IKB system, Lenovo has published the correct ROW BIOS version.

The corrected BIOS, v 3JCN23WW, can be downloaded here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/DS118500

Thank you,

Re: Strange Boot Splash Screen after BIOS update Ideapad 310-15IKB

Thank you Amy for updating us. Unfortunately, on trying to install BIOS 3JCN23WW, the following error comes

"The version of ROM file is not newer than that of BIOS"

My current BIOS version is "3JCN51WW", which was released on 17/11/2016.

Also, I would like to know where can we see the changelog for BIOS versions ?

Re: Strange Boot Splash Screen after BIOS update Ideapad 310-15IKB

I have the same issue with this BIOS version on Lenovo 510 15-ikb!!!

Today I had a call with lenovo in Bulgaria and they seemed to have no idea...

They want me to send the laptop to service...still no idea how from version 22 to 51...a few days back to 22 and today 23...not able to downgrade as the same as some guys have already reported.

Just to say that my laptop is 3 weeks old...and sending to service?!?!

Lenovo sould have a good explanation for this...

Re: Strange Boot Splash Screen after BIOS update Ideapad 310-15IKB

Hey guys...just managed to install the 3JCN23WW and I will explain in a few steps how to do so...cuz the bios will not let you install "older"version as it sees it...

1. You shut down the PC and pres the Recovery button to enter BIOS

2. Then go to CONFIGURATION and find the BIOS BACK FLASH  and Enable it...save and exit.

3. PC will restart...loging to windows and now istall the proper BIOS version you want.

It worked for me...the Lenovo logo is back...colored. Smiley Wink

Still want to hear from Lenovo how did dthat happened and WHY?

And we're back...

Move delayed but still coming
