My wife's Flex 14 stopped charging. I am thinking that battery is old and need replacement (I hope), but when I look on the Lenovo site, I do not see the battery. I tried contacting Lenovo, who argued with me that the battery is sealed (wrong), but finally send me to Emcompass parts. They looked up the serial number and was able to correctly identify the computer, but could not find the part number for the battery. They then transfer me to Geek Squad for some reason.
I did see a few battery on sale at Amazon, but they appear to be greatly smaller in capacity (2200 instead of 3560 ma). Anyone know how I can order the higher capacity battery or at least locate the actual part number ?
Is this normal, I never had issue getting batteries for my Dells.

The machine was purchase about 2 years ago. The warranty has expired.
I did took a look at the link and examined the parts list. The only battery available is a 4 cell which is still smaller than the original battery that came with the laptop. Because of the difficulty in just ordering a battery from Lenovo, I am just going to order a third party item from Amazon since the one from Lenovo do not appear to have a higher capacity and I don't want to spend an hour to order the battery.
While the support on this forum is top notch, I think the chat support is less than desirable. Due to the difficulty of getting a battey, I have to rethink about buying Lenovo the next time we need to replace a computer. I prefer vendor that have longer part support, particular for the battery.

Try as I might, I couldn't find a replacement that is the same size as the original. The only one I could find was the 2200 ma version. I even managed to get in touch with the parts departtment at Lenovo, and they only have the 2200 ma version.
I ended up getting the 2200 ma from Amazon.
