Upgrading RAM in Lenovo 700-15ISK

Hi guys,

I would like to add more RAM (DDR4) to my laptop because I have only 4GB (I need like 16GB) and the question is what type of RAM exactly I need (brand, MHZ, etc.). I think that my RAM is not performing too good in this laptop so I think a RAM upgrade will be helpful. Anyone knows where can I do that without loosing my 2 years warranty? I'm based in London, thank you.

Re: Upgrading RAM in Lenovo 700-15ISK

Hi attilahadnagy ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

As per specification on the hardware manual (page 27):

DDR4-2133 MHz , 32 GB max  , SODIMM × 2 slots

From the product specification manual : 32GB max / PC4-17000 2133MHz DDR4, two 260-pin SO-DIMM sockets

OEM recommended ram on item 8 page 70 FRU list of the same manual along with part number .

In general , parts upgrades would not void the warranty as long as there won't be any damage during the process.

Refer similar to this discussion for further details.

Always best to call in tech support since agreement and warranty may differ per location and to have them informed of your plans for upgrade.

Hope this help answer your query.
