A permanent bright white spot just showed up on the left side my screen around an hour ago. I've never touched the screen or done anything to damage it so i don't know why this has happened. I have 170 days left on my warranty. To get the screen fixed, is this covered in my warranty? And if so, do i take it back to where i bought it to get it fixed, or a service center?

Sorry to hear of your problem. Without knowing the cause of the white spot it is difficult to determine if problem is covered under warranty. Most likely it is covered if the problem wasn't the result of external damage. I would recommend that you contact Lenovo Support for additional warranty assistance. They can best advise you about the warranty coverage.

I would also recommend that you check with your local Best Buy to see if they are an authorized service center. That way you can walk in the machine and speak personally with a technician.
