flex 2 14 keyboard not working, some keys

some of the keys on my keyboard stopped working when i upgraded to windows 10. i have restored windows 8.1, thinking that would solve is, but it hasnt. i have held the power button down to restart it, but that didnt work. i then uninstalled the driver and rebooted, which also didnt work. i cant find a way to contact lenovo directly either. i also cant find the keyboard driver on the lenovo website to install.

can someone please help?

Hi there, Saique –

Thank you for writing in to the Lenovo Forum - happy to have you here today.

  1. Shut down your laptop
  2. Connect charger
  3. Press the power button for 15 secs.
  4. Then start your laptop normally.

Update us how it goes.

Re: flex 2 14 keyboard not working, some keys

Please follow the below steps to perform power drain.

1: Remove the AC adapter plug.

2: Remove the battery.

3: Press the power button for about 30 seconds. This will clear the capacitors.

4: Insert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

5: Press the power button.

Please run the BIOS update.

Update us how it goes.

Re: flex 2 14 keyboard not working, some keys

I had a similar problem and I followed these instructions exactly and it cleared the problem.  I did not have to run the BIOS update, so I am not sure about whether or not that is required to prevent this from happening again or what.

Thanks!!

Re: flex 2 14 keyboard not working, some keys

This solution worked for me and solved the problem of half of the keys not working.  I did not do the BIOS update though, is that recommended to prevent this from happening in the future?

Re: flex 2 14 keyboard not working, some keys

Last resort would be backing up your files and doing a factory reset to isolate if it's an OS issue.
