i have to press power button for 10 seconds to turn on my ideapad 510

my ideapad 510 was running on latest windows 10 , so i dual booted it with ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS. it worked fine for 2 days but now whenever i shoutdown my machine(from both OS). and after shutting down when i turn it on, it doesn't turn on with single press of power button , instead i have to press and hold the power button to turn on my machine. and when it turn on it show me the novo boot menu from where i can either go to bios or OS. what is the problem and how to solve it.

Thanks in advance for any kind of help!

Re: i have to press power button for 10 seconds to turn on my ideapad 510

My guess is that it doesn't complete the normal shutdown and that you need to kill the power (holding the switch) before it will start. Look in the event lok to see if something is throwing an error at shutdown.
